Pretty. Awkward.
About
On the verge of losing her childhood home in the scenic seaside town of Montauk, Maddie Barker finds herself in a desperate financial bind with few options left to stay afloat. When she happens upon a bizarre and highly lucrative job listing posted by a pair of wealthy, overprotective parents, she realizes it might be the solution to all her problems. The assignment is deceptively simple: she is tasked with dating their socially awkward and sheltered nineteen-year-old son, Percy, to help him come out of his shell and gain some real-world confidence before he heads off to Princeton in the fall. Armed with a sleek car and a professional objective, Maddie dives headfirst into what she assumes will be an easy payday. However, she quickly discovers that the reclusive and nervous Percy is far from a pushover. As she attempts to navigate his guarded personality and eccentric habits, the dynamic between them becomes increasingly complicated, forcing Maddie to confront the reality that her mission is much more challenging than she initially bargained for. What begins as a transactional arrangement soon spirals into a series of unpredictable and awkward encounters that force both of them to step far outside of their respective comfort zones.
