Hannah Faber is a smokejumper stationed at a lonely fire lookout tower in the expansive wilderness of Montana, still struggling to process a traumatic past event that haunts her days. Her solitary existence is abruptly interrupted when she encounters a traumatized young boy wandering through the forest, clearly terrified and covered in blood. As she soon discovers, the boy has become the primary target of two relentless and cold-blooded assassins who are tracking him across the rugged terrain to silence him permanently regarding a dangerous secret he holds. Isolated from civilization and unable to call for help, Hannah must use her extensive survival skills to shield the boy from the killers, who have already begun to methodically close in on their location. The situation turns dire when a massive, encroaching forest fire ignited by the pursuers begins to sweep through the dry landscape, transforming the vast wilderness into a volatile death trap.
