Set against the sweeping, rugged backdrop of the American West in 1882, this film follows a small group of free-grazers who lead their cattle across the vast, open range. Led by the experienced and stoic Boss Spearman and his quiet, skilled partner Charley Waite, the crew operates under a simple code of honor and independence. Their peaceful existence is shattered when they arrive near the town of Harmonville, a settlement dominated by a ruthless and corrupt land baron who uses his influence and a band of hired enforcers to intimidate anyone who does not bow to his authority. When a tense confrontation escalates into open hostility, Boss and Charley find their pasts catching up to them. Forced to confront the encroaching tyranny that threatens their way of life and the safety of their men, the two seasoned veterans must decide how far they are willing to go to defend their principles.
