When Thomas wakes up inside a rusted elevator with no memory of his previous life or identity, he arrives at the Glade, a sprawling, grassy compound surrounded by gargantuan, impenetrable stone walls. He finds himself among a community of boys who have carved out a fragile existence while trapped within this mysterious prison. Every morning, the massive stone doors of the enclosure slide open to reveal a labyrinthine maze filled with shifting corridors and lethal mechanical threats. While the other inhabitants have learned to navigate the dangers and abide by their strict, self-imposed social order, Thomas is haunted by flashes of his forgotten past and an irrepressible curiosity about what lies beyond the concrete barriers. As he challenges the status quo of the Glade, he becomes a catalyst for change, risking everything to piece together the truth of their confinement.
