Tom Cutler is a dedicated single father and a former police officer who has carved out a specialized and grim career as a professional crime scene cleaner. Tasked with sanitizing locations after violent tragedies, he operates with clinical precision and a detachment necessary to manage the aftermath of human trauma. However, his life takes a precarious turn when he is dispatched to a high-end suburban residence to scrub away the remnants of a brutal shooting. Upon arriving to perform his duties, Cutler follows standard procedure, unaware that the job was unauthorized and that he has been manipulated into scrubbing a scene before the police could process it. As he realizes he has inadvertently erased vital evidence and become a pawn in a sophisticated criminal conspiracy, he finds himself ensnared in a dangerous web of deception. With his reputation on the line and his own integrity at stake, Cutler must navigate a labyrinth of corruption and illicit secrets to uncover the truth behind the assignment, all while desperately attempting to protect his young daughter from the encroaching shadows of a case that is far darker than any he has encountered before.
