About
High school senior Ferris Bueller is a master of manipulation and a charming rogue who has perfected the art of the perfect getaway. Determined to enjoy one last grand adventure before graduation, Ferris concocts an elaborate ruse to convince his parents that he is suffering from a severe illness, earning himself a day of freedom in the heart of Chicago. Enlisting his girlfriend, Sloane, and his chronically anxious best friend, Cameron, Ferris embarks on an ambitious trek across the city in a borrowed vintage sports car. As the trio experiences the sights, sounds, and luxuries of downtown, the stakes rise when Ferris's vengeful school principal, Ed Rooney, becomes convinced that the student is playing hooky and launches a relentless, personal quest to catch him in the act. Simultaneously, Ferris must evade the watchful eyes of his skeptical older sister, Jeanie, who is determined to expose his deception once and for all. What follows is a high-stakes game of cat and mouse set against the vibrant backdrop of the metropolis, centered on the simple, urgent philosophy that life moves pretty fast, and if you do not stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.
