Max, Lucas, and Thor are three sixth-grade best friends who find themselves navigating the awkward and often confusing transition from childhood into the turbulent years of adolescence. After being invited to a highly coveted kissing party, the boys realize they are woefully unprepared for the social pressures of middle school romance. In a desperate attempt to learn how to lock lips before the big event, they resort to using a high-tech drone belonging to Max's father to spy on a teenage couple in the neighborhood. When the plan goes disastrously wrong and the drone is destroyed, the trio finds themselves in a race against time to replace the device before Max’s parents return home from their weekend trip. What begins as a simple mission quickly spirals into a series of increasingly bizarre and inappropriate misadventures across the suburbs. As they wander into territories far beyond their comfort zones, the boys must rely on their dwindling innocence and their unshakable bond to navigate a world of illicit items, accidental crimes, and misunderstood social cues. Their frantic journey forces them to confront the challenges of growing up, proving that even the most well-intentioned plans can lead to monumental trouble when you are twelve years old and entirely out of your depth.
