About
Dr. Louis Creed, a physician seeking a quieter life for his family, relocates from the bustling atmosphere of Boston to the secluded, wooded town of Ludlow, Maine. Along with his wife, Rachel, and their two young children, Louis settles into a sprawling property that seems idyllic until they discover the unsettling history of their new surroundings. Tucked deep within the dense forest bordering their land lies an ancient, overgrown burial ground known as the Pet Sematary, where local children have laid their beloved animals to rest for generations. While the site appears to be a mere relic of childhood mourning, a series of harrowing events and mysterious encounters soon lead Louis to uncover secrets far more sinister than any local legend suggests. As the family becomes increasingly entrenched in the strange traditions of their new home, they are forced to confront the thin, fragile boundary between life and death. The deeper Louis ventures into the lore of the land, the more he risks unraveling his family's safety, finding that some things are meant to stay buried. What begins as a peaceful transition to the countryside quickly spirals into a desperate struggle against forces that defy natural law, challenging the sanity and bonds of the entire Creed household as they realize that the woods hold a dark, unyielding power waiting to be unleashed.
