Sometimes your battles choose you.
About
In the bleak Rust Belt of the United States, two brothers try to hold on to what little stability remains as the region’s factories fade and jobs become scarce. Russell is struggling to keep his life on track while his older brother, whose presence and choices have always shaped their world, finds himself pulled into a brutal spiral after a devastating turn of events. With one brother dealing with the consequences of a harsh sentence, the other is left searching for a way to protect his family and preserve the bond they share. But desperation creates an opening for danger: a local criminal network with deep connections and a taste for violence starts to draw near, demanding loyalty and offering relief that comes with mounting costs. Out of the Furnace follows the brothers as fear, grief, and survival collide, turning every decision into a high-stakes gamble in a landscape where hope can be just as dangerous as the criminals who exploit it.
