A little friendship never killed anyone.
About
Greg is trying to slide through his senior year of high school with as little attention as possible, keeping to the margins while spending his time with his only close friend, Earl, on secretly planned, creatively strange projects that feel safer than real relationships. But that careful distance starts to crumble when Greg’s mother insists he befriend a classmate who has leukemia, someone who can’t simply be ignored or avoided. Pulled into a new kind of friendship, Greg and Earl must navigate school life, awkward empathy, and the changing emotional stakes that come with forming a connection in the middle of illness. As expectations collide with Greg’s instincts to stay anonymous, the conflict becomes less about fitting in and more about what it means to show up for someone when you’re not sure how.
