Television reporter Ángela Vidal and her cameraman enter an apartment building to cover what begins as an emergency call, drawn to the chaos as fire and rescue workers respond from floor to floor. What should be routine footage turns unsettling almost immediately, as unfamiliar behavior spreads behind closed doors and the building seems to tighten around them. With the corridors growing darker and the outside world fading, the crew is forced to stay inside and document events as they escalate, caught between the need to report what is happening and the terrifying reality that help may not be able to reach them. Set entirely within the claustrophobic confines of a single building, [REC] is driven by mounting fear and urgent survival as every attempt to leave only deepens the sense of dread.
