Joel Goodson is an ambitious and studious seventeen-year-old living in the affluent suburbs of Chicago. With his sights set on an Ivy League future and a reputation as a model son, he is the picture of teenage responsibility. However, the equilibrium of his life is upended when his parents leave town for a weekend, entrusting him with the family home and their pristine Porsche. Free from parental oversight, Joel is suddenly confronted with the allure of a wilder existence, leading him to abandon his cautious nature in favor of a series of spontaneous and increasingly impulsive choices. When an unexpected and disastrous incident occurs involving his father's prized vehicle, Joel finds himself in a desperate race against time.
