After a series of rebellious acts leads to a final brush with the law, a judge presents her with an ultimatum: incarceration or enrollment in an prestigious gymnastics academy led by Burt Vickerman, a legendary and notoriously hard-nosed coach. Forced into a high-pressure environment where perfection is the only acceptable standard, Haley initially struggles to reconcile her disdain for the sport with her undeniable talent. As she navigates the intense training regimen and the social hierarchy of her peers, her defiant attitude creates immediate friction, earning her both loyal allies and bitter rivals.
