About
When a beautiful young woman is brutally murdered by a sadistic serial killer, her grieving fiancé, a highly skilled government intelligence agent, embarks on a relentless and harrowing quest for retribution. The killer, Kyung-chul, is a remorseless psychopath who treats the act of taking human life as his own personal sport, operating with a terrifying lack of empathy. In his pursuit, the vengeful agent, Soo-hyeon, refuses to simply hand his quarry over to the authorities or end his suffering with a swift execution. Instead, he initiates a sadistic game of cat and mouse, intentionally allowing the murderer to escape only to track him down again, inflicting physical and psychological torment that mirrors the trauma he has endured. As this dark cycle of violence continues, the boundary between the hunter and the hunted begins to blur in a disturbing fashion. Soo-hyeon finds himself spiraling into a moral abyss, forced to confront the chilling reality that in order to truly break his adversary, he must suppress his own humanity and descend into the same depths of depravity that define the monster he is stalking. Set against the bleak and unforgiving landscapes of the South Korean countryside, the narrative examines the corrosive nature of vengeance and the terrifying transformation of a man who sacrifices his own soul to ensure that his enemy experiences the true weight of his crimes.
