Set against the rugged and hauntingly beautiful backdrop of the Scottish Highlands during the height of the Second World War, the story follows young Angus MacMorrow, a lonely boy living in a remote estate while his father is away at sea. The arrival of a regiment of soldiers stationed at his family home intensifies the challenge, as Angus must navigate the complexities of wartime instability and the watchful eyes of those who view his newfound friend as a threat.
