Frank Murdoch is a middle-aged office drone suffering from a soul-crushing existence defined by mundane grievances, a crumbling marriage, and an unrelenting barrage of obnoxious pop culture. After receiving a devastating medical diagnosis, he reaches a breaking point and decides to abandon his passive life. His path crosses with Roxy, a teenage girl who shares his profound disdain for the narcissism, cruelty, and ignorance permeating modern society. Bound by their mutual alienation, the pair forms an unlikely and violent alliance. Together, they embark on a cross-country crusade, targeting those they deem the most insufferable perpetrators of American excess, from reality television stars and pampered celebrities to intolerant bigots and arrogant bullies. As they navigate a landscape fueled by outrage and self-obsession, Frank and Roxy attempt to justify their radical actions as a necessary purge of a decadent culture, forcing the viewer to confront the uncomfortable intersection of morality, justice, and the desire for social retribution in a world that often rewards the worst impulses of humanity.
