About
At George Washington Carver High School, the atmosphere is charged with the intense, high-stakes energy of a typical student body election, but the proceedings take a jagged turn when overachiever Tracy Flick decides to run for president. Tracy is a hyper-motivated student whose ambition is as boundless as her academic perfectionism, and she fully expects to cruise toward an uncontested victory. However, her popular but ethically conflicted teacher, Jim McAllister, harbors a deep, simmering resentment toward Tracy. Determined to derail her inevitable coronation, Jim orchestrates a campaign to find a viable opponent. He eventually recruits Paul Metzler, a dim-witted but genuinely well-liked football player who has no real interest in politics but follows Jim's guidance out of a sense of obligation. What begins as a seemingly harmless exercise in democracy rapidly devolves into a messy battle of wits, manipulation, and ego. As the students prepare for the vote, the boundaries between teacher and student blur, and the school becomes a pressure cooker where personal vendettas, repressed frustrations, and the pursuit of power collide. Jim believes he is teaching a valuable lesson about civic duty, yet he finds himself caught in a spiraling web of his own making, unable to stop the momentum of a campaign that threatens to expose the fragility of his own moral compass. The rivalry between the calculating student and the meddling educator escalates with each passing day, turning the election into an unpredictable game of strategy where every move carries unforeseen consequences for everyone involved.
