Everybody has one

About

Ned Rochlin is a well-meaning, barefoot organic farmer whose unwavering honesty and lack of guile often make him the target of ridicule among his more cynical, high-achieving siblings. When Ned finds himself suddenly single and without a place to live after a series of unfortunate misadventures, he is forced to rely on the hospitality of his three sisters, Liz, Miranda, and Natalie. Each sister occupies a different station in life, from a stressed suburban mother and a cutthroat journalist to a struggling artist, and all are deeply invested in maintaining carefully curated facades. As Ned rotates through their homes, his presence acts as an unwelcome mirror for their own internal turmoil and interpersonal deceptions. While his sisters initially dismiss his unconventional nature as foolishness, his penchant for speaking the blunt truth without malice slowly begins to dismantle the complicated lies they have constructed for themselves. The central conflict arises as Ned navigates the tensions of their strained relationships, forcing his siblings to confront the reality of their choices while they struggle to understand whether their brother is truly an idiot or simply the only person brave enough to live without pretense.
