About
In 2008, the senior class of North Meadows High School saw their final year of adolescence abruptly terminated when a catastrophic tornado tore through their town, scattering the students before they could walk across the graduation stage. Nearly two decades later, these former classmates are now deep into their mid-thirties, navigating the complexities of adult careers, failed marriages, and mid-life stagnation. However, a bizarre and strictly enforced administrative mandate forces them to return to their hometown to complete their unfinished academic requirements. As these grown adults trade their professional responsibilities for the cramped desks and social hierarchies of their youth, they must grapple with the ghosts of who they were and the uncomfortable reality of who they have become. Confronted by the remnants of their teenage selves and the persistent pressures of homecoming, this unlikely group finds themselves thrust back into a high school environment that remains frozen in time. The central conflict forces them to reconcile their unresolved teenage trauma with their current adult perspectives, all while attempting to survive the absurd ordeal of mandatory final exams and hallway politics. Caught between the dreams of their past and the weight of their present, they must navigate this surreal academic purgatory to finally close the chapter on a formative year that has haunted them for half their lives.
