In a galaxy that feels both expansive and absurd, the villainous Dark Helmet and the megalomaniacal President Skroob devise a desperate scheme to save their own dying civilization by draining the atmosphere from the peaceful planet Druidia. Their plan involves the kidnapping of the headstrong Princess Vespa on her wedding day, a move that triggers an intergalactic race against time. The responsibility of the rescue falls upon the shoulders of Lone Starr, a cynical space-traveler and pilot-for-hire who navigates the cosmos in his ramshackle ship alongside his loyal half-man, half-dog companion, Barf. As the duo embarks on their mission to intercept the kidnappers, they find themselves drawn into a much larger destiny when they encounter the mysterious sage Yogurt. Under his guidance, Lone Starr begins to learn of an ancient and mystical energy known as the Schwartz, a power he must harness if he hopes to confront Dark Helmet and thwart the dark agenda of the Spaceballs before they can enact their final, suffocating command. The journey tests his courage, his piloting skills, and his reluctant sense of heroism as he travels across strange moons and vast starfields to protect the princess and ensure the continued survival of her people.
