About

In the shadow of the October 7 tragedy, a disillusioned jazz musician named Y. and his wife, a professional dancer named Yasmin, reach a breaking point that drives them toward a radical and unsettling existential experiment. Seeking to numb their anguish and navigate a fractured landscape, the couple makes a pact to say yes to every opportunity, request, and demand placed before them. This commitment soon spirals into a dark transaction, as they systematically sell their physical autonomy and artistic integrity to the highest bidders among Israel’s political, social, and military power brokers. As they become increasingly entangled with the architects of the national establishment, Y. finds himself caught in a tightening web of influence, eventually tasked with a mission of grave consequence: the composition of a new national anthem. Designed to be both rousing and ruthless, the music becomes a symbol of the couple’s total surrender, forcing them to confront the terrifying reality of their choices as they perform for an elite that demands total devotion in exchange for their fleeting relevance. What begins as a desperate search for purpose quickly transforms into a disturbing exploration of identity, collaboration, and the price of survival in a society teetering on the edge of its own contradictions.
