Life can be a real mother
About
Living on the fringes of society in a converted van, Tallulah survives by her wits and a nomadic existence, far removed from the polished expectations of traditional life. Her path takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Carolyn, a wealthy and deeply unhappy Beverly Hills housewife who is struggling to navigate the suffocating pressures of motherhood and her own sense of isolation. When Carolyn impulsively hires the drifter to babysit her toddler for a single evening, a series of impulsive choices and a moment of genuine desperation collide, leaving Tallulah in possession of a child she was never meant to raise. As she retreats into this newfound and fragile guardianship, she inadvertently entangles herself in the lives of those around her, including the child's grandmother and a local detective. The film explores the complexities of unconventional motherhood and the blurred lines between rescue and abduction, following a woman who finds herself adrift in a world of domestic expectations she never asked for. Set against the stark contrast between the gritty, desperate lifestyle of the streets and the hollow opulence of the elite, the narrative unfolds as a character-driven drama that examines the yearning for connection and the heavy burden of secrets kept in the shadows of an unfamiliar life.
