New Orleans, 1933. In those days words didn't say much.

About

Set against the grim backdrop of the Great Depression, the story follows a laconic and formidable drifter named Chaney who arrives in New Orleans seeking a way to earn a living during desperate times. His path crosses with Speed, a fast-talking, bottom-rung fight promoter who immediately recognizes the raw, untapped power in the quiet stranger. The two forge an uneasy partnership, traveling from town to town to organize high-stakes, bare-knuckle boxing matches. While Chaney relies on his disciplined strength and stoic nature to survive each brutal bout in the ring, he is constantly undermined by Speed, whose compulsive gambling habits and poor judgment frequently place their earnings and safety at risk. As they climb the ranks of the city's underground fighting circuit, their relationship becomes increasingly strained by the constant pressure to find the next big purse. Caught in a cycle of poverty and violence, Chaney must navigate the dangerous world of unregulated street fighting while dealing with a partner whose personal failures threaten to dismantle everything they have built, forcing him to decide how much he is willing to endure for a chance at a stable future in a country that offers very little hope.
