About
In December 1941, during the height of the Second World War, two soldiers from the Czechoslovak army-in-exile, Jozef Gabcik and Jan Kubis, are parachuted into their occupied homeland under the cover of night. Their mission is as daring as it is perilous: to carry out Operation Anthropoid, a high-stakes assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich, the third-in-command of the Third Reich and the primary architect of the Final Solution. Upon arriving in Prague, the men must navigate a claustrophobic world of fear, distrust, and constant surveillance as they connect with the local resistance movement. With minimal resources, failing equipment, and the looming threat of discovery by the Gestapo, the two men must rely on the courage of ordinary civilians who risk everything to help them. As they finalize their tactical preparations, the tension mounts within the besieged city. The story unfolds as a tense exploration of loyalty, sacrifice, and the moral weight of resistance, forcing the protagonists to navigate an impossible choice between their own survival and the potential to change the course of the war against a ruthless enemy that occupies every corner of their shattered country.
