Five criminals. One line up. No coincidence.
About
Following a catastrophic explosion on a ship docked in the San Pedro harbor that leaves a handful of survivors and a mountain of bodies, the local authorities are desperate for answers. The focal point of the investigation is Roger Kint, a small-time con man known as Verbal, who is brought into a Los Angeles police interrogation room to account for the massacre. As the feds press for details, Verbal begins to weave a complex, serpentine narrative that reaches back weeks earlier. He describes how he and four other highly specialized criminals were swept up by the police in a routine lineup, an encounter that unexpectedly forged a temporary alliance among them. United by their skills, the group embarks on a high-stakes series of heists that eventually draws the attention of an elusive, near-mythical crime lord named Keyser Soze. According to Verbal, Soze is a terrifying figure of almost supernatural reach and ruthlessness, a man who pulls the strings from the shadows and treats human lives as disposable pawns in a grand design. As Verbal recounts their descent into this man’s world, the detectives are forced to reconcile his unsettling testimony with the grim reality of the harbor disaster, struggling to discern the line between fact and fabrication in a web of deceit where no one can be trusted.
