In this intense installment of the long-running horror series, the four survivors of the most recent string of Ghostface murders decide to leave their trauma behind in the small town of Woodsboro. Seeking a sense of normalcy and a chance to escape their harrowing past, they relocate to the sprawling, densely populated landscape of New York City to begin a fresh chapter as college students. However, the promise of a quiet life is quickly shattered when a new killer adopts the infamous Ghostface mantle and begins a relentless pursuit through the urban maze. Trapped in a city where millions of people are surrounding them, the group finds that their anonymity offers no safety. As the masked assailant stalks them through subway cars, crowded apartment complexes, and dark alleyways, the survivors must once again confront their deepest fears and utilize everything they have learned about survival to stay alive. The stakes escalate as the killer demonstrates an intimate knowledge of the group, turning their attempt at a new start into a desperate, high-stakes battle for their lives in a setting where no one can be trusted and there is nowhere left to hide.
