About
Bruce Nolan is a charismatic but chronically dissatisfied television reporter living in Buffalo, New York, who finds himself perpetually stuck covering trivial human interest stories rather than advancing his career to the anchor desk. Despite possessing a supportive girlfriend and a steady life, Bruce is blinded by his own selfish desires and frequently complains that the universe is conspiring against his success. After a particularly disastrous day that leaves his professional life in shambles and his personal relationships strained, Bruce experiences a complete crisis of faith and loudly berates the Creator, accusing Him of mismanaging the world. Unexpectedly, his outburst is met with a divine challenge. Bruce is suddenly granted absolute, omnipotent power over the world, receiving the chance to prove whether he could run the universe any better than the Almighty. As he begins to experiment with his newfound abilities, Bruce quickly realizes that wielding total control comes with unforeseen complications, forcing him to navigate the impossible weight of answering countless prayers and balancing the complex, interconnected needs of humanity. The story explores the chaotic consequences of human ambition and the daunting reality of divine responsibility when an ordinary man is suddenly thrust into the ultimate position of authority.
