Her writing credits include The Prince & Me (2004) and the romantic holiday romantic-comedy Valentine's Day (2010), where her dialogue and plotting emphasize relationships, emotional reversals, and ensemble storytelling. She also wrote for Christy (2025), continuing her focus on compelling narratives that balance personal stakes with broader social and historical contexts. In addition to her work as a writer, Fugate has served as a producer, including on Army Wives (2007), contributing to a series centered on military families and the resilience, conflict, and connections formed through deployment and service life.
