
Glen Keane (born April 13, 1954) is a prominent figure in American animation whose career spans classic Disney features and later productions that helped define the studio’s modern musical and character-driven storytelling. He is known for his work as a writer on Tarzan (1999) and Pocahontas (1995), bringing cinematic narrative and expressive character focus to animated adventure and historical romance. He later helped shape Tangled (2010) as a producer, contributing to a style that blends engaging comedy with sweeping fantasy visuals. His broader body of work includes The Little Mermaid (1989), reflecting his long-standing influence on character animation and storytelling in animated film and related television projects. He has been married to Linda Hesselroth since 1975, and together they have two children.
