The law is just a suggestion.
About
Set against the gritty and volatile backdrop of the Farmington district in Los Angeles, this intense drama follows the daily operations of a corrupt anti-gang unit known as the Strike Team. Led by the highly effective but morally ambiguous Detective Vic Mackey, the unit operates out of a repurposed church now serving as a local precinct. The core conflict revolves around the team's questionable methodology, as they consistently navigate a gray area where the line between upholding the law and breaking it becomes dangerously thin. Mackey and his handpicked officers justify their violent and unlawful tactics by claiming they are the only force capable of maintaining order in a neighborhood consumed by gang violence, drug trade, and systemic decay. However, their actions put them at constant odds with both the hardened criminals they pursue and the internal oversight of their own department. As the precinct struggles to reconcile its mandate to protect the public with the reality of its own internal rot, the officers must constantly maneuver to keep their secrets hidden from ambitious colleagues, skeptical captains, and internal investigators. The tension is palpable as every tactical decision carries the threat of personal ruin or professional exile, forcing the characters to choose between their loyalty to each other and their own survival in a city that demands absolute compromise.
