After abruptly resigning from his high-level intelligence position, a nameless secret agent finds himself drugged and abducted, waking up in a picturesque, Mediterranean-style seaside community known only as The Village. Surrounded by colorful architecture and an apparently cheerful populace, he soon realizes that the idyllic setting is a sophisticated, inescapable prison. Despite his persistent attempts to outsmart his captors and navigate the bizarre social dynamics of his new home, the agent is constantly thwarted by high-tech security measures and a mysterious, balloon-like entity that patrols the perimeter.
