About
In Corner Gas, life unfolds at a slow, stubborn pace in Dog River, a fictional prairie town in Saskatchewan where almost everything interesting happens a little too close to home. The center of it all is Brent LeRoy, who runs the local gas station and serves as an informal gathering point for the community’s regulars and the occasional wanderer. Around him are an assortment of everyday characters—neighbors, town employees, and familiar faces—each bringing their own quirks, routines, and small ambitions to the kinds of problems that can start as harmless inconveniences and grow into full town-wide distractions. With the station as the hub and Dog River’s empty stretches of highway as the backdrop, the series turns the “nothing to do” moments into a continuing source of conflict, comedy, and unexpected connection, as the townspeople navigate miscommunications, odd errands, local politics, and the constant challenge of keeping life moving in a place where it can feel like time stands still.
