Karen Beth Disher (born August 7, 1972) is an American storyboard artist and film director known for her contributions to animated feature films and family entertainment. Based at Blue Sky Studios, the in-house animation studio of 20th Century Fox Animation, she has built a career that blends visual storytelling with performance. Disher has lent her voice to characters across prominent animated franchises, including Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Horton Hears a Who! (2008), Rio (2011), and Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012). Alongside her on-screen voice work, she has expanded into directing, taking the helm for Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas (2011), where her animation expertise helped guide the film’s pacing, character action, and narrative clarity. Her work spans comedy, adventure, and imaginative worlds, reflecting a strong command of story structure and timing in both theatrical releases and broader TV and media formats.
